Friend 2: Timepass movie.

Me: Fine quips. Awesome action sequences; but I laugh more in my CrPC class. Perhaps because I did not get many of the pop-culture references.

Dune: Part Two

Dune: Part Two is a worthy sequel to the first movie. In scope and spirit, it captures the space opera with the cinematic necessity to have a short plot to hold the interests of the viewer. It is a must-watch. Whatever feelings were generated while watching the first movie were not only reexperienced, but also appropriately heightened. The hype was real. I saw it at Jio Plaza Bandra. The entire travel expense there was less than the ticket cost and way cheaper than going to Palladium. Mumbai public transport is next level. It was a 9:30 AM show. Total attendance: 4. I think the greatest contribution of this movie to the cinematic experience is the painstaking paintings that are the frames. Madgaon Express

I managed to watch the third movie I was supposed to of the recent past, other than Crew and Laapataa Ladies: Madgaon Express. I was recommended it by I don’t remember who. I think I had seen its trailer at some point in my life. In any case, I am proud to have been a patron of such small films, even if it was not ground or mould-breaking in any sense. If I was to describe it in short , I would just say it is full timepass . Something you expect to give you a few shitz and giggles and is a light-hearted fun watch. It ticks all those boxes of a passable and objective-satisfying comedy to go watch, even if the humour is not deep; but is neither cheap nor shallow. Crew

As I mentioned in the Laapataa Ladies review, I wanted to see that movie, Crew, and Madgaon Express. I got another evening free and I saw Crew. Why did I choose that over Madgaon Express, no specific reason. Maybe because it had three beautiful women in it? I saw it on a Friday for a whopping ₹450 ticket. It was not worth that much, especially after Laapataa was only 150. To make matters worse, I had to spend another 300 bucks on a cab to go watch it. The movie was strictly average. The acting is good, but you don’t expect anything less from veteran actors like Kareena Kapoor and Tabu. They too did not especially sparkle.
