Chi va Chi Sau Ka

Again, a very late review. More than a week late. Well I saw a movie after a long time too.

Nice movie. Novel concept. Unnecessary interference of Bharat Ganeshpure. Totally unnecessary. Bigly unnecessary. His Bramhic sutrasanchalan was ugach. His popping up every now and then elicited nothing but groans.

The movie was just excessively loud and the constant dhakka-bukki, shouting, fighting gets tiring. I fell prey to the urge of switching off until the scenes got over and wondering ‘When are they going to make the seats at Westend better?’. The overdone scenes made me think they forgot that they were on camera and not on stage. It constantly reminded me of 'Dhake energy kuthye?' and shouts of 'AWAAZ!' which used to be heard during Purushottam practice. Thoda subtle challa asta.

The parents did a much better job than the lead actors and actress. So did Jyoti Subhash.
Overall the movie maintained its rhythm. If it did lag at any point, it would be the end, where it seemed too cosmetic and choreographed.

Special thanks to Mrinmayi Katdare for her explanatory company. I did not even know the meaning of the title.

Watch this movie if you want to see gholkas of ajjis chattering like little girls in swarms.
"Aga tickets tujhyakade ahe na?"
"Haa awaaz ka kartoy, bangdi kadhu ka?"
"Ajun kashi ali nahi ti, phone lavu ka?""Nahi mi already teen vela laavlay!"
They seemed to be the true audience; they were hollering at scenes where we were "Haan thike. Ok joke hota".
