Disco Sannya

I would sincerely suggest everyone to go watch it. That too as soon as possible.

Hats off to the director, script writers and the actors. Though I feel Sanjay Khapre has done a better job than Parth Bhalerao. Tom triumphs over Jerry in this aspect. The story is quite simple, the charm lies in its portrayal making it fresh and 'new'. The interactions wherein Sannya outsmarts his adoptive 'dad' and his friend; and how his 'little birds' gather information is a delight. So is the gambling scene. The movie was immersive enough to make me forget the shitty seats at Imax, Westend Mall, Aundh. Be tolerant to the possible loud co-audience. It compounds the fun.

The songs are really catchy and nice. I loved the lyrics of the hep soulful music at the climax. 'Jai Hari Vitthala…Allah hu Akbar’ complements rather than contrasts the soulf of the movie.

The minor characters are also authentic. The disinterested nurse seems genuinely disinterested, you actually feel like beating up the rude rickshawala, you actually expect the lungi clad caretaker to chew paan. The over enthu co-worker to define 'responsibilty'. . .

Jai Chingabunga!
