Eternals

You know #acchedin are a scam when Angelina Jolie and Salma Hayek are doing MCU movies.

Firstly many thanks to Ishan Tuljapurkar to allow himself to be graced by the city of Pune by his arrival here, and for giving company. We were first going to go for some John Wick rip-off (don't remember the name now). Maybe that would have been a better decision.

We saw it in iMAX at Pavillion. The visuals were stunning. That's the only good thing about the movie.

Otherwise, it is slow, boring, and refuses to move forward. My companion even slept the final few moments. It did grip our interest up till the interval, but after that, it went eternally downhill. So much so that we refused to stay for the mid- and post-credit scenes. There is not much to say about acting, nothing exceptional.

They kiss during a Hindu wedding! I laughed out loud at that moment. Come on peeps, some cultural research? Their parents would have been shocked and three thalis would have fallen and lighting would have flashed. On top of that, you have Icarus flying into the Sun? So on the nose. But fine, they are supposed to be the point of origin of the Greek myths.

There were some serious random fights going on towards the end whereas with the intelligent Deviant one could have explored so many new concepts. One betrayal, in the end, is a highlight, but that is all. I can't still seem to get over the dimensions of the Celestials which seem to change depending on the needs of the story. I am not at all invested in any of the characters, nor do I want to see what happens to them in the future.

Watch in on streaming. Do not spend too much.

Rating: 1 Beard/5

I really really miss the Avengers era.
