Overall the movie is a fine watch. The struggles of NASA to put a man on moon and heavy costs paid for every step to take us there are well-portrayed. The politics and the science involved would have made a much better documentary.
The film is all about Ryan Gosling's human nature which Niel Armstrong emoted really well. Though they can feel unnecessarily long. The balance is towards the 'human' aspect, which, with so much sadness all tastes the same.
Much of the spinning shots were
already seen in Gravity so that was nothing new. What was though, was the sense
of claustrophobia you felt when you actually realized how small they were.
I would have preferred re-reading Tintin's Destination Moon and Explorers on the Moon than watching the movie.
Saw it in Imax (Westend). Was
fun. But there was terrible trio which was constantly talking and sitting in
front of us. Had to ask them to shut up. Luckily they did.
Gagan Narang had come to see it. I did not click a photo with him. Tanay did. Was itching to ask him his opinion on Salman's shooting skills.
